State of The Union Address

Okay. Whew I just need to get all this down.

Now is the time to stand behind our president, if I may quote my father. Now IS the time. Yes, the country is rather divided right now, and the enemy is listening to that. The media is adding to that, making it sound like the Chief is a loser and a failure, and that we're ALL completely against him, which ISNT true, but you know what they're just playing right into the enemy's hands. When something's divided, it is it's weakest!

Nancy Pelosi is...okay kinda creepy. Kinda freaking me out here. REALLY. Mr.President said something about having to protect America, and protect us, the Americans, and she just kind of sat there as everyone else clapped. She just kind of had on this stare that was creepy and she didnt move. *shivers* She...doesnt want to keep us safe?? Uuuugh. And...I REALLY dont want Hillary Clinton to be the next president. Really. I was little when Clinton was president, but I do remember that he was not viewed as a very good president in my family's views, which I trust. And Hillary Clinton is..well...Hillary Clinton.

Right now, the life and death of our SOLDIERS could depend on getting behind our president! I have a VERY good friend. Her oldest brother is in the army. I dont think he's at the battlelines, but still. I have another good friend. Her cousin is a tanker. *sigh* I may not have all my intellectual info to back me up on every single point, but I know. We need to get behind our president. Seriously I thought his speech was wonderful AND had a wonderful response! Then the commmentary comes back on and "oh, he says the state of the union is strong in every speech!" and "...but will America support him?" ...."polls show that 7 out of 10 Americans do not support the war." What polls? I'm sure you must have interviewed only choice people.

I'm sorry. I know I'm mostly ranting and raving, but I know (okay I think) that most of you will agree with me. I dont really have the time RIGHT now to go loking this up and getting all the little tid-bits to back me up, but if you heard Bush's speech tonight it should be enough explanation.

Something Nancy Pelosi did though was...interesting. I was happy, and then she just sat there. But before that, he had said something along the lines of that although we're seperated by party, that doesnt really matter, so long as we're not afraid to step across the aisle when jobs need to get done. She stood almost immediatly and clapped very hard. So I was happy, yay this is getting somewhere...hmmm.

If we pull out now, of all times, it'll all collapse, the countries will be warring SO very much, so very very VERY much, (they'll all attack the places we've been occupying) and possibly the terrorists will not only be more prone to get us, but also have probably more want for revenge, and also, who knows what the otehr countries themselves would try to do-it would be OUR fault for thier dissaray, from us pulling out!

Thank you so much for letting me rant and rave. :) NOTE: Opinions mine, and my father's. I'm sure at leats most of my family agrees with my father's opinions-but for now I'll just say my Father's. :)

God Bless,
~MOFACE

P.S. And God Bless America, and oh please help me be rational as well.

Well, I can't believe no one else has commented, yet. This was an excellent post and I enjoyed it very much!

M, keep thinking, keep learning, do your research, build your arguement, defend your position. Don't back away from your convictions. Educate yourself. Know everything there is to know. And, keep on speaking out. It's a very good thing.

Never apologize for convictions, and never, never, never call the expression of your convictions a rant, a rave or irrational. Your critics will do that for you.

God bless you!

Well, I quite agree with you and your father...We should stand behind our president, he has had difficult choices to make.

Well, I have not much else to say...I am glad you are watching this type of speech...learning while you are young helps a great deal.
